Message from the President & CEO of the National Constitution Center
Joseph M. Torsella
It is a distinct honor and a true pleasure to host this historic Democratic Presidential Candidate Debate at the National Constitution Center. We take seriously our mission to remind Americans of the rights and responsibilities of active citizenship the Founding Fathers endowed to We the People. It seems particularly fitting that the candidates will debate only steps away from the very building in which our nation was formed, and as a proud representative of the City of Philadelphia, the State of Pennsylvania and the United States of America, the National Constitution Center welcomes them.
