REPORTS TO:Group Sales & Admissions Manager
BACKGROUND:The National Constitution Center, located on Philadelphia's Independence Mall, is the first museum in the world dedicated to honoring and explaining the U.S. Constitution through more than 100 interactive and multi-media exhibits, artifacts and film. The Center also houses the Annenberg Center for Education and Outreach, which serves as a hub for national constitutional education, debates, teacher resources and as a home for visiting scholars and experts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Greet customers in a friendly manner
- Sell tickets for admission, gift certificates, CityPass and memberships on a computerized ticketing system
- Maintain accurate sales with cash, checks and credit cards; responsible for own drawer
- Attend morning briefing by Floor Managers
- Re-stock brochures, pocket Constitutions and any other materials at the Box Office
- Answer all customer questions, quickly and efficiently
- Answer phones in a friendly manner
- Reserve advance tickets on a computerized ticketing system
- Answer all customer questions, quickly and efficiently
- Assist the Group Sales Department with mailings, phone calls and reservations
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:- Outgoing and friendly; someone who enjoys working with the public
- Box Office, Call Center or related customer service experience preferred
- Able to work comfortably with a diverse staff and visitor base, including visitors with special needs
- Able to stand for long periods
- Able to problem-solve, deal with angry visitors, make visitor-related decisions, remain calm in emergencies and handle multi-tasks and information
- Able to work weekends
