The National Constitution Center is an ideal stop for those sightseeing in Philadelphia. You can visit Philadelphia's historic attractions at several art museums, cultural museums, and historic attractions, but none match the National Constitution Center for interactive, family fun. History comes alive through a live, multimedia, theatre presentation called Freedom Rising, interactive exhibits where you can take the Presidential Oath of Office or decide a Supreme Court Case, and Signers' Hall where you can walk amongst life-sized bronze statues of the 39 signers, including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and James Madison. School civics lessons were never this fun!
Among other Philadelphia tourist attractions within walking distance of the Constitution Center are Elfreth's Alley, the Betsy Ross House, and the grave site of Ben Franklin. There are also a number of contemporary bars, shops, and restaurants all within blocks of the Constitution Center in the historic Old City district.
